December 2017 Newsletter

I can’t believe the year is almost over!  Where does the time go? We would like to thank all of our preschool families & staff for helping with the “Operation Christmas Child” boxes.  Also thank you for all of your generous donations towards our Thanksgiving basket outreach, there are families with Thanksgiving dinner because of your kindness. We would like to thank all of our parents that prepared food or volunteered their time by helping with our Thanksgiving feasts. The teachers and children really enjoyed all the yummy treats!

During the month of December, the children will be very busy making Christmas crafts, learning & celebrating the birth of Jesus, enjoying Christmas stories, and much more. Our VPK classes will review letters A – I & numbers 1 – 10, focus on the birth of Jesus and Christmas around the world.

The VPK and 3 Year-Old preschool children will have their Christmas musical “The Best Present Ever” on Monday, December 11th @ 7pm. We will have a professional videographer for anyone wanting to purchase a video for $15.00. Please sign up and prepay with your child’s teacher.

Each class will have their own Christmas party before the Winter Break, so please watch your child’s classroom door/bulletin board area for more party information. Teacher’s wish lists consist of, Christmas stickers (snowflakes, penguins, Christmas trees, etc.) cookie cutters (snowflake, angels), shaving cream, and red & silver pom poms. Chapel Offering
Offerings received through October 2017: $178.32

Our preschool children attend chapel in our church sanctuary every Wednesday morning from 9:30am-9:50am. During this time our church pastor, youth director, and school director take turns sharing age appropriate bible lessons with the children.

Each school year we have collected an offering during chapel time and have been able to help numerous organizations, missions, and people in need. This year we will be collecting monetary donations each week during chapel to support the LeadaChild mission. We thank all of our school families for supporting our chapel missions it would not be possible without your help!
