February 2018 Newsletter

Wow, it’s already February, where does the time go? Just a reminder, statements of receipt for tax purposes can be requested at this time for 2017 and picked up in the school office if you haven’t already requested yours. We have started enrollment for 2018 Summer Camp and 2018-2019 School Year. All of our Faith families should have received an enrollment letter in the mail. If you have any questions or haven’t picked up your packet, please speak to Amanda or Lisa in the school office.

During the month of February all of our preschool classes will focus on Groundhog’s Day, Valentine’s Day, and President’s Day. The 2’s & 3’s will also talk about Food and Nutrition. Our VPK class will focus on letters (F, L, M, N, O, & V) & numbers (15 thru 20), and will have fun learning about Dr. Seuss. Please be sure to keep an eye out for valentine party sign-ups, as the teachers usually have them posted at the classroom doors.

Teachers wish lists: Valentine Day Stickers and for Ms. Teresa’s class bubbles, bag of rice and dried red beans.

Chapel Offering Update “Lead a Child”: We would like to thank all of our Faith families for your continued support with Wednesday, chapel offerings. Our “Lead a Child” chapel offering total so far for August through December is $260.29.

February 23rd St. Jude Trike-A-Thon: Please make sure your child’s trike/bike and helmet are dropped off in the rear parking area on the morning of the Trike-A-Thon. There will be signs posted so that bikes and helmets can be placed by age group. Please be sure to label all trikes/bikes and helmets with your child’s first & last name. If you have any other questions please feel free to speak with your classroom teachers or one of our school office staff.

Blessings on a Wonderful New Year,

Lisa Bass and Faith Lutheran Staff

Chapel Offering
Offerings received through December 2017: $265.48

Our preschool children attend chapel in our church sanctuary every Wednesday morning from 9:30am-9:50am. During this time our church pastor, youth director, and school director take turns sharing age appropriate bible lessons with the children.

Each school year we have collected an offering during chapel time and have been able to help numerous organizations, missions, and people in need. This year we will be collecting monetary donations each week during chapel to support the LeadaChild mission. We thank all of our school families for supporting our chapel missions it would not be possible without your help!
